Frequently Asked Questions
My child's teacher has asked parents for classroom supplies. Can School Council help with that?

It’s possible! Your teacher should approach the Principal for any day-to-day classroom supplies, but if there is an item that can be used to enhance classroom experience (e.g. a subscription, book, technology), please ask your classroom representative to speak to Council.

I'd like to volunteer. What should I do?
First of all, thank you! Please get in touch with us using the form below. Also, interested parents and caregivers who would like to volunteer with field trips and around the school should fill out a Vulnerable Sector Check (around $22) with Toronto Police. A detailed guide is available here. When you have received your completed check, please send an email copy or a printout to the Principal's office. Please also email a copy to PoliceReferenceCheckOffice@tdsb.on.ca along with the school name.
If the fee is a barrier to your application, we can help on a case by case basis. Please send us an email.
